What happens at the centre
The visitor programme runs in the early afternoon. It begins with a short documentary and briefing about the translocation work carried out by Malaysia's Department of Wildlife and National Parks, then moves to the feeding platform where you can hand fruit to the resident elephants under staff supervision.
Numbers are capped each day and registration closes early, which is the main reason to arrive with your own vehicle rather than a shared coach. We leave Kuala Lumpur in the morning so you are at the counter in good time.
